N.7. Shoulder Internal Rotation MWM

Inferior glide of humerus on stabilized scapula through pressure of practitioner’s thumb in client’s cubital fossa
Adduction of humerus by pressure of practitoner’s abdomen on client’s elbow

Auto-assisted hand behind back motion through pull of mobilisation belt

Pain with, or restriction of, shoulder internal rotation movement of hand behind back

  • Ensure cubital fossa grip does not block forearm elevation up back
  • Ensure scapular stabilizing hand force is directed cranio-medially not laterally (do not lever humerus out of glenoid fossa)
