MOBILISATION
Inferior glide of humerus on stabilized scapula through pressure of practitioner’s thumb in client’s cubital fossa
Adduction of humerus by pressure of practitoner’s abdomen on client’s elbow

MOVEMENT
Auto-assisted hand behind back motion through pull of mobilisation belt

INDICATIONS
Pain with, or restriction of, shoulder internal rotation movement of hand behind back

NOTES

  • Ensure cubital fossa grip does not block forearm elevation up back
  • Ensure scapular stabilizing hand force is directed cranio-medially not laterally (do not lever humerus out of glenoid fossa)
