G.16. Lumbar Self-SNAG in Lion Position

 Self-Treatment with two mobilisation belts

Client on hands and knees sinks buttocks down between feet

Pain with, or restriction of, (thoraco-) lumbar extension 
 Pain down the front of the legs, for example groin pain not due to the usual pathologies

– Ensure NO PAIN, no discomfort
 – Ensure client has knees and feet well apart
 – Use more or less flexion in hip(s) and knees to get the mobilisation right
 – Improve exercise by placing a towel or pillow under the knee on the effected side, to have a rotation component
 Extra note
In case client has no mobilisation belts, perform the exercise without belts.
