MOBILISATION
Bilateral medial pressure to sides of spinous processes of adjoining vertebrae

MOVEMENT
Graded resisted thumb extension

INDICATIONS

  • Resistant cases of de Quervain’s tenosynovitis related to cervical dysfunction
  • Non-irritable cases

NOTES

  • Ensure pressure is begun quite laterally to avoid pinching skin
  • Have higher thumb on painful side
  • Use foam pad for comfort
