L.1. Ankle Dorsi-Flexion MWM: Open Kinetic Chain

MOBILISATION
Posterior glide of talus on stabilized tibia/fibula

MOVEMENT
Passive dorsi-flexion through client’s pull of belt on forefoot +/- practitioner’s thigh on sole of foot for over pressure

INDICATION
Pain with, or restriction of, ankle dorsi-flexion

NOTES
  • Ensure movement is passive not active
  • Place roll behind client’s knee to relieve gastrocnemius tension
